Location: Westchester Institute for Human Development
Presenters: Suzanne Peretz, Janet Lowe & Barbara Kestenbaum, Lower Hudson Early Childhood Direction Center
Early childhood educators are usually the first ones to notice developmental issues in young children. We will review developmental expectations and possible “red flags” showing possible delays. We will also introduce you to steps that could be taken if you suspect a child of having a developmental delay, how to speak with parents about your concerns, what happens once a referral is made, and what services are available if the young child is found to be eligible. You will also learn terms and initials used in the world of special education. Click here for Event Flyer.
