Every September, the NYS Children’s Alliance organizes a virtual (or in some cases in-person) run/walk/roll to support the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) at Westchester Institute for Human Development in our mission to end child abuse.

Anyone, anywhere can join the 5K fun including children and furry friends! Registrants can receive a t-shirt, compete for prizes, share photos, and join teams.

Westchester Institute for Human Development’s annual gala event “Celebrating Abilities” supports our mission to provide caring and compassionate services to people with disabilities and vulnerable children. Each year, we honor three individuals or organizations that have significantly contributed to WIHD’s work and the field of disabilities or child welfare.

For the fourth year, our 2023 gala was held at the Scarsdale Golf Club. Our guests mingle over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in a beautiful setting; have a gourmet 3-course dinner; and have access to a silent auction with unique vacations, experiences, and wines.
