This free workshop will provide useful information for parents whose children with special needs are transitioning from preschool and the Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) into elementary school and the Committee on Special Education (CSE). This workshop will clarify the CSE Process and timelines; the similarities and differences between CPSE and CSE processes, services and programs; the roles and responsibilities of CSE committee members and parental rights; evaluations, eligibility for services and the individualized education program (IEP); continuum of services; and current federal and state regulations.
