The transition planning process helps students with disabilities prepare for their transition to post-school living, learning and working. This presentation will explore the importance of parent involvement in thinking about their child’s future which begins with an assessment at age 12 and continues with the provision of transition services by age 15. The direct connection between transition activities and the requirements for earning a CDOS Commencement Credential (a work-readiness certificate) which can be used to meet the requirements for one Regents exam will be highlighted.  (Generally for parents of students with disabilities in both middle school and high school).  Sponsors:  Westchester Independent Living Center’s Parent Training & Information Center, and Arlington CSD Special Education PTA. Click here for flyer and registration
