Committees on Preschool Special Education (CPSEs) are groups of people appointed by the Board of Education in each school district in New York State to identify and evaluate three and four year old children who have special educational needs. This document will help you learn more about how a parent participates as a member of the CPSE, how to engage in the process, and what to do to follow up on CPSE meetings.
