This is an important presentation for parents of children of all ages. It is never too soon to think about transition to life after high school, since the decisions we make and the educational programs to which our children are exposed pave the way for their opportunities following the K-12 years. The presentation will address the expanding high school credential and exiting options for students with disabilities. The discussion will cover the various sections of the IEP addressing transition needs and services, various factors that come into play for transition planning, and introduction to adult services after high school.
