DESCRIPTION:Date:  September 20\, 2017 \nTime:  5:30 pm – 7:30 pm \nLocation:  Roosevelt High School\, Yonkers\, NY \nPresenter:  Stephanie Bellantoni\, Hudson Valley Special Education Parent Center \nThis presentation will help parents prepare to talk with their children about their learning differences\, in a way that is positive and encouraging.  A student’s ability to understand his/her differences is the first step toward self-awareness\, and more importantly self-advocacy.  The workshop will explore tools to support students in expressing themselves as a member of their CSE\, so as to develop a quality IEP that respects and accommodates unique individual needs.  Click here for event flyer and registration.
