SUMMARY:Preparing for Your Child's Annual Review
DESCRIPTION:Location:  Rebecca Turner Elementary School\, 625 S 4th Ave\, Mt. Vernon\, NY 10550  \nSpeaker:  Stephanie Bellantoni\, Hudson Valley Special Education Parent Center \nParents are essential members of the Committee on Special Education (CSE).  This workshop will start with the purpose of the annual review\, how the CSE team maneuvers through the various sections of the IEP in their discussion\, and measures parents can take to effectively prepare for the annual review so as to properly engage in the CSE meeting.  Parents will be guided through the process of organizing their thoughts and issues prior to the annual review\, for effective presentation.  They will be introduced to essential tools available on the HVSEPC website to support them in their preparation.  The discussion will also include recommendations for handling a CSE that is struggling to meet consensus. \nClick here for Event Flyer.
