Supported Decision-Making (SDM), a newly emerging practice that allows people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to retain all their rights while also providing them with the support they need to make their own decisions. Learn more about what SDM is, how it works, and why it might be a better alternative than guardianship for a loved one with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
