The Ossining Documentary and Discussion Series identifies films that are meaningful to their community, and brings people together for the film and a panel discussion. In the movie Swim Team, director Lara Stolman (whose documentaries have appeared on major news channels and websites) presents the story of parents in a New Jersey community who take matters into their own hands when they feel their own community has given up on their son who is on the autism spectrum. They form a competitive swim team, recruiting diverse teens on the spectrum and training them with high expectations.
