Child Welfare Services

You are in: Overview

The Family Program at WIHD works with children and families who are being served by child welfare programs in Westchester County, NY.

We at The Family Program work to ensure that children are healthy, safe and in stable living situations with families where they belong. We work closely with the Department of Social Services in Westchester County to achieve these goals for families.

Our daily work is about helping parents and children. We look at children's needs very carefully and work with parents and foster parents to help them to take care of their children in a safe way. We believe parents can come up with good solutions for their family when they get help with making decisions.
