Patricia O. Towle, Ph.D.
Research and Training Psychologist
Patricia Towle, Ph.D., is the Director of Psychology Training
at WIHD and holds academic appointments in Psychiatry, Pediatrics,
and the School of Public Health at New York Medical College.
Dr. Towle specializes in early childhood and neurodevelopmental
disabilities, teaching graduate courses in related topics, supervising
doctoral psychology students in developmental assessment, and
conducting workshops in the community. She also coordinates
the research teams for the LEND training program and conducts
research on young children with autism spectrum disorders.
Dr. Towle received her Ph.D. from University of Connecticut
and held a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology and
developmental disabilities at the University of North Carolina
Medical School University Affiliated Program. Here she was supported
by a National Institute of Mental Health research training fellowship.
She has received research and training grants from the March
of Dimes, the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitation
Services, and the New York State Department of Health.
