Karen Edwards, M.D., M.P.H.

Director, LEND

Karen Edwards, M.D., M.P.H., Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at New York Medical College, joined WIHD in July 2002 as LEND Project Director and Director of Pediatric Services. She has been a full time faculty member in the Division of General Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at New York Medical College since 1988, where her clinical work has focused on providing primary care for children with special health care needs. Dr. Edwards became the Associate Dean for Primary Care at the College in 2003.

Dr. Edwards received her pediatric training at Children's Hospital in Philadelphia and completed a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars Fellowship in clinical epidemiology at Yale University School of Medicine. She completed her MPH at New York Medical College. She has furthered her training in faculty development by participating in the Ambulatory Pediatric Association's Faculty Development Scholars program.
