Assistive Technology Team
The Assistive Technology Team at WIHD evaluates people with
disabilities for technology supports, and gives training in
assistive technology interventions.
Services include:
- Evaluations in the areas of augmentative/ alternative communication,
computer and environmental access, seating and positioning,
vision technology and/or instructional technology;
- Training to individuals with disabilities in the use of
assistive technology devices; and
- Training and consultation to agency- or school-based teams
in how to develop assistive technology interventions and put
them into place successfully.
Individuals, family members, or organizations that provide
services topeople with disabilities can call about these services.
